El curso académico
2011-2012 en Nepal termina por estas fechas. Comparto aquí el correo que acabo
de recibir de Sadhana Lama, la directora del New Shrine, la escuela en la que
tenemos escolarizados a once niños y niñas de Bal Mandir. Aunque dentro de poco
enviará información detallada, por asignaturas, de cada uno de ellos, con este
correo nos adelanta los excelentes resultados globales de la mayoría. A
excepción de Sudip, que sigue arrastrando problemas escolares, todos los demás
han tenido un excelente rendimiento. Creo que, gracias al asesoramiento de
Kalpana, hemos acertado con esta escuela. A continuación escribiré a Sadhana
pidiéndole que nos indique los precios de escolarización y alojamiento de cada
uno de ellos para el próximo curso, más Sagar, otro huérfano de Bal Mandir que
queremos incorporar a este grupo.

Greetings
from Nepal.
I hope everyone of you is fine and keeping fit in Spain. We are very busy as the end
of the year is approaching and with all the strikes in between we are trying to
manage time and work. The 6th Card Test got over and I'm sending the result for
your appraisal. Subhash stood third with 90.9%/ Keshav 6th with 89.7%/ Both
could have done better but they were involved in the Inter-school basket ball
tournament and must have got distracted. However Subhash has proved himself an
excellent player in Basket ball. Most of them have joined Taekwondo, martial
art classes from last month. Sushmita secured 2nd position with 97%/ Puja 14th
with 82%/ Janak 3rd with 94%/ Bipin 5th with 99% (he has shown a lot of
improvement) / Karan and Himal have stood 1st with 100% / Gokul also stood 1st
with 99% /Samjhana stood 16th with 70% and she has also shown a lot of
improvement. Now, only Sudeep needs a lot of encouragement and motivation as he
has failed in 3 subjects but has shown some improvement in other subjects. I
have kept special tuition for him in Nepali and I am also monitoring his
studies personally.
I
have brought forward the 3rd term to the 16th as the SLC exam has come 2 days
earlier than last year. I will again send you the annual calendar for this year
once we finish the third term exams.
